This cooking skill is all about making Chantilly cream. Chantilly cream (crème Chantilly), or whipped cream, goes great with many cakes and pastries and is really easy to make. Some people distinguish between the two, with crème Chantilly being sweetened, and whipped cream not (Wikipedia).
Making Chantilly cream
- 250ml double cream
- 25g icing sugar
- Vanilla extract
- Pour the cream into a very large bowl.
- Sieve in the icing sugar and add a few drops of vanilla extract.
- Using a clean whisk, whisk until the chantilly cream is thick enough to pipe from a piping bag.
