Tortilla crisps – great as a snack!
This recipe shows how to make tortilla crisps. Tortilla crisps make a great snack at any time and only take a few minutes to cook.
Ingredients – As required | Preparation time 8 mins
- Soft flour tortillas
- Vegetable oil, to fry
- Cut each tortilla into half across the centre, then cut each half into small wedge shapes.
- Pour enough oil into a heavy-based frying pan to fry the tortilla wedges. Place over a medium heat on the hob. When the oil is hot enough, carefully add the tortilla wedges.
- Fry until crisp and golden in colour. Remove the tortilla crisps from the frying pan and allow to drain on kitchen paper to remove any excess oil. Neatly arrange the tortilla crisps in a small clean bowl and serve with chilli con carne.
