Ingredients – as required | Preparation time 15 mins

  • 1 large Bramley apple
  • 50g granulated sugar
  • 1-2 tablespoons of cold water

Method

  1. Peel and core the apple and cut into slices.  Place into a saucepan and add the sugar and water.
  2. Place onto the hob over a medium heat and allow to stew until the apple becomes soft.
  3. Remove the apple sauce from the heat and, using a large dinner fork, mash the apple sauce to a smooth texture.
