From a few basic methods and by adding different ingredients, we can make hundreds of different cakes. We can, of course, go to the local shop or supermarket and buy some very nice cakes and pastries, but it takes the enjoyment out of making your own. Plus, it’s a good time to get children in the kitchen with you - they love to play and roll out some pastry or help you make scones.
