Fish has always been a major part of our diet. We have put together some information and tips when buying and cooking fish as well as a quick guide to the different ways of cooking fish.
The following are just a few straightforward ideas on how to cook fish, get used to handling it, etc. Please don’t forget, you can always exchange the fish in the recipe, e.g. cod to haddock or plaice to lemon sole, or salmon to sea bass. Same as with most things in cooking, cook what you like best and will enjoy. The cooking times quoted are approximate and assume the mise en place has already been completed - please read the recipe for more details on preparation and cooking times.
