This cooking skill is all about how to dice swede. Swede is generally not used in everyday recipes and dishes but is great if you want to try something different. Here, we show how to cut a swede into dice as well as cut into julienne of swede.
Dice swede – a step by step guide
- Wash, peel and rewash the swede. Take extra care with your knife, as the skin on swede is quite tough.
- To dice the swece, place the swede on the board and cut into lengths from top to bottom with width of the dice you require.
- Place each piece of swede flat onto the board and cut into finger shapes, again the width of the dice you require. Gather the fingers together and cut across them to form dice (cube shapes) the size you require.
