This cookery skill is all about preparing toasted flaked almonds. Whilst almonds are mostly eaten raw, they can be toasted to add flavour and texture to recipes.
Toasted flaked almonds – a step by step guide
- Firstly, pre-heat the grill to hot.
- Lay the flaked almonds out on a clean, dry baking tray and place under the hot grill until golden brown.
It will only take a few minutes, so don’t walk away and leave them or you will soon end up with a tray of burnt nuts!
