This recipe for a marie rose sauce, sometimes referred to as rose marie sauce, is quick and easy to make. It is often used in a prawn cocktail recipe and as a sauce for fish.
Ingredients – as required | Preparation time 10 mins
- 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1.5 tablespoons tomato ketchup
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- Place all the ingredients into a clean bowl and mix together well.
- Cover the marie rose sauce with cling film and store in the fridge until required.
To make the marie rose sauce a little bit ‘posher’, mix in a tablespoon of brandy!
